The Three Tails (Inactive) - Mythie - 08-31-2013

We are a small gathering of RPers on Faerie.  We also have an OOC Free Company, but membership is not required to be apart of our small RP community.  Our premise is a Dry-docked smuggler's ship in Limsa Lominsa.  While the ship is dry-docked, and no crazy mayhem is happening seaside there is plenty going on in the tavern set up to take patrons.

The following characters are set up to give out Pearls:
Mythie Zhwan
Sola Sier
Anzu Mahri
Mirrah Darkslayer
Freya Redwyne
S'tila Raik
Kalani Mathis
Zaira Iluka
S'hayila Farren
Yar Yargomesh
Andraia Shepard
Chee Lapucell

Please send over a tell, or hop over to our OOC Free Company forums and join up.  There is a board there for IC interaction, and posts, also resource sharing for Lore.  We do not have a linkshell website at this time, but may if there is enough adoption.

Our Guidelines for play:
  • This is an IC linkshell, but the location does not have to be specified.  The general idea is it takes place within a tavern.. that is also part of a ship in Limsa Lominsa.  There will be times that IC events will be held ON SHELL outside of the Three Tails.
  • Feel free to IC outside the linkshell as well!  In /say if you like! We are all definitely going to be doing OOC things, but it never hurts to have IC instance parties. Moogle
  • Drama is just a thing that happens with IC Storylines.  Please make sure you have cleared anything overly impactful with the other players involved.  Story happens, but it should not happen at the expense of OOC friendships or activities.
  • Please keep all chat IC.  If you must speak to folks OOC-ly, please use the globally recognized double Parenthesis.
  • The Cartel has an OOC linkshell as well, if it is necessary it can be used for out of character communications.
And that's it!

Interested? On Faerie?  Come join up!

~Mythie Zhwan

A tall dark figure stood hooded upon a run down boardwalk. Staring out to sea, chiseled features were hidden beneath the shadow of her cowl. Gloved hands grasped the railing, and robes whipped about tall boots. The sea spoke to its mistress, imparting secrets only the large woman could hear.

Small booted steps made their way up the gangplank. She was so diminutive compared to the admiral. Myth wore no distinguishing marks on this trip, but did not hide her face as her benefactor had. There was no need, for she was notoriously scrupulous in her dealings outside the cartel. Petite hands slid over the railing, and she rested evenly upon elbows. Glancing out to sea with mismatched eyes, she greets her companion, "Good evening Admiral." They stood so close to the raging shoreline, that the winds did not let her words pass this very spot. If anyone were to look on, it just appeared that perhaps two strangers had chosen the same place to stop and admire the sea.

"What news have you from Garlemald?" The Admiral's heavy accent asked thickly. Her voice strained as she took comfort from the water beyond.

"Something is brewing Bloefhiswyn.. And I don't mean Thanalan Tea. We have made it back with as much ceruleum as we can carry, but I fear our opening into the mines may be closing rapidly. My contact on the east shore is being pressed for missing inventory, and can only bluff so long. I really do fear for his life... Anyroad Admiral, I think we are going to have to offer him sanctuary." The Keeper of the Moon chewed a soft lip in agitation. There was little she could offer the Garlean who risked so much to help them, she hoped Merlwyb would see it her way. Sanctuary was their only option after all the assistance Alexander had given.. All for the love of one of her own crew.

Even Garleans could fall in love it seemed. With all of their technology, and hard demeanor.. They were all still people under that cold steel.

Myth brushed the salt off of her elaborate coat. The leather was nicely worn, but held its age. She shook out cuffs, waiting for her Admiral to speak. "Do you think you can acquire one more load? Biggs and Wedge have nearly all they need. It would be a simple thing really..." Merlwyb still did not turn those large liquid eyes to Myth, transfixed by the constant ebb and flow of the tides below.

"Admiral I will do whatever you think is best.. After all it is you who lets us lance goods in Limsa unaccosted by the Yellowjackets. I would see this relationship extended in favor of the families I feed.. But this young man has plans to sire a family himself some day. I dare say with one of our own... He itches to be a settled pirate." Myth chuckled delicately, tucking a mint tinted strand of hair beneath her fluted hat. "Madam Admiral we cannot tarry much longer, the empire knows we are taking from them.. And they are liable to take back."

Merlwyb eyes her from beneath the darkness of blood colored hood. Shrewd gaze reflecting upon the small catlike creature before her, and the wisdom held within her words. "Let them come." She said brashly, and turned upon heel in military fashion and began to stride away. Booted heels clicking upon the boardwalk. An unbarded chocobo waited for her at gangplanks end.

Myth continued to watch the sea heave and thrust beneath her, not watching the large woman go. A wedding ring adorned her dusky purple hand, and absently she twisted it with a thumb. "What a sad day for love..."

"But a good day for us,Kupo!" Moglinda seemed to appear from thin air. "We've another great adventure ahead of us, kupopo. Don't let her sour-Kupo get to you." The Moogle was small and plump. Her pompon was rainbow colored, and bobbed in the strong breeze. Moogle words always brought a smile to Mythie's day, and she grabbed her best mog friend.. Giving her a squeeze. "We will bring Alexander back with us.. Surely after this run the Admiral will have had her fill. Come we must go offload while it is still dark. Tell the crew to keep the colors low, an lets get moving. We've only a few hours to be seaborne."

The Moogle disappeared with a pop, leaving the Mi'qote alone to glance up. She missed Durandal still, but to keep anything so serious from happening again.. She would bring the heavens down by hand if necessary. The admiral was right, what was one young boy against the fate of all Eorzea.

She would have to tell T'ier. There was no doubt in her mind that he would not take well to the thought of more quests into the heart of Garlean waters. There was always the promise of violence, and the premise of doing good that would keep him placated though. That and he loved her tail... She was fairly certain it was her best feature. Once they were dry docked for the season, no longer running smuggled herbs and minerals for the Admiral, she would have to look into drumming up the old Patronage again. This time around she would have to ask the crew what to call it. Those drinks Meimei mixed were always most coveted, even amongst patrons of the Bismark. Sola would entertain them with her normal brevity no doubt. Myth shook her head, she missed those old ties. It would be time to have them back again soon enough.

Thin fingertips adjusted her spectacles, and straightened her coat. Myth strode down the gangway, and around a steep curve. There sat her ship "Carbuncle's Revenge", all glory to the remaining moon. The dark blue hull gleamed in twilight, and the smoky purple and blue of their signet flickered on flags in the darkness. She could hear the rigging snap, and see ample activity below. With an infectious grin, she straightened her hat and clipped her heels into the night. Ready to face adventure head on.. With bells on her toes.
