RP Linkshells not attached to a FC - Raidiese - 09-05-2013

I'm trying to make a decision as to who I want to throw my lot in with in terms of a free company (hereinafter "FC"). RP factors into that decision, but if I can get it elsewhere, I would settle on a FC that wasn't RP-centric but more focused on PvE content - because honestly that's the primary reason I see for wanting to join a FC.

That being said, I'm having a hard time finding RP linkshells that are NOT attached to a FC. So I'm wondering if people in the community could speak to just two questions:

1. Are there many linkshells out there who plan to RP and who plan to not make a corresponding FC?

2. Are there linkshells who are paired with FCs but would welcome people to join ONLY the linkshell?

Mysterium falls into category 2. Smile While we prefer that people join our FC, we're okay with people only joining the LS. Membership in the LS alone can be as a full Wizard or as a Dear Friend (a close ally whose primary allegiance IC lies with another group), depending on RP concerns. In your case, though, it sounds like you'd prefer an OOC FC -- in which case membership as a Wizard would be fine, as the Tower would be your primary affiliation.

In terms of other LSes that fall into this category, I know the Commerce Regulation Agency is okay with members being in OOC FCs (many of its members are members of the Unity FC). I believe House Marchand takes a similar stance (with many of its members being in the Wildsky FC).

What time zone do you play in?  The Eorzean Union is a Europen FC thatis unlinked to any LS. Its an OOC end game FC However we play EU times bleeding into early US afternoon, evening. Our players all get our RP in LS.

I have a Linkshell that is not associated with any one particular FC. And I don't plan to honestly. However at some point when I am filthy rich I will look into purchasing a home so that my bordello will have a true location. But Ambrosia welcomes all and is currently hiring performers and wait staff!

And Isis, unfortunately we are not on the same server! I'm playing on Balmung - though for the life of me I can't figure out how to edit that into my little profile thing like you guys.

As FreelanceWizard said, The Commerce Regulation Agency is LS-only. A bunch of us are in the same FC, but it's not actually connected to the LS. I'd be happy to answer any questions you might have about us.
