Torn and splintered, shattering my mind’s eye
Such as broken glass in a torrent of rain
While all truths are stripped bare, leaving only the lie
Alone and naked, I suffer in soundless shame

Do I have the strength? Do I have the will?
Inside it is unclear, my heart feels unsure
One curious flicker, one silent whisper
A hope, a prayer, or perchance a bit more

An opportunity in the splendor of the moment
On the precipice, do I have the courage?
A profound breath, a final courtesy

The beginning is now, tomorrow is yesterday
Intentions are founded, never shall I give way
Here I come, my body overwrought
Stirring onward with everything forgot
