II. RP Style 
  • Amount of RP (light, medium, heavy):
  • I suppose it would be light? I'd like it to be more, but I also want to level up the game too. Aaah, so hard to juggle my desires. I have a lot of really exciting ideas I'd like to see work in RP though. Specifically, a number of us have been thinking about how great it'd be to create actual storylines for PCs with the rest of us being able to interact with them! I'm really stoked by the thought of playing a shady NPC in someone's backstory come to town to blackmail them or something. Or even just being Xi or Saachi there to interact with someone else's story and try to help... possibly making things hilariously worse in some ways.  So... I guess my amounts is light. But I'd really dig doing more.

  • Views on RP combat and injuries:
  • Now, I'd really really like to do something with this so long as it was an easy battle of sorts so that when we're learning how to do mechanics or what not of an instance we don't have to figure out how to give advice in combat rather than getting through it. I like the idea of maybe FC chat for one and LS/Party chat for another? I don't know. We have tons of chat options... I bet we could figure out a way to make that work. I think it'd be fun.

  • Views on IC romance:
  • How could I have a bad view of that? Seems like such a strange thing to me to be like "UGH. Love is GROSS In Character. Guys, take your happy, sweet, romantic feelings OUT of my imaginary head space" I think so long as there's no awkward crossing over feelings from IC to OOC or possessiveness it can be great fun!  Like tons!

  • Views on non-romantic RP (family ties, etc):
  • o.o As I said above, I'd feel kinda weird being like "I'm only here for the flirting. Don't do anything with me that isn't kiss my soft lips and tell me how your heart beats for me". That'd be weird. Can you imagine everyone in the game doing that all the time? Um. I like all kinds of RP.

  • Views on lore:
  • I'm sloooowly learning it. I admit that I jumped into the game because my friends were in it- but I never played 1.0 and it wasn't the Lore that called me to the game. It was the community and... and...well... and they prettiness. Heh. Plus that nostalgic "final fantasy" title attached to it.

  • Views on chat functions (/say, /linkshell, etc):
  • I like RPing in Say. I like it because it's open and inviting to other RPers. They know they can come up to me and start talking because that's what I'm doing. I meet people that way. On the flipside I don't like it because it can be 1) distracting and 2) it's troll bait. I like having FC and LS chats for...various things. I get a kick out of pretending FC chat is a linkpearl so I can talk in character even while stabbing my 5th trickster imp or something

RP WANTED FOR GILGAMESH EVENT (is this where I do this)

I am working on a Driftwood Coast event on Gilgamesh. I'm fairly new to this and would like to request assistance from other RPers.  Here is the post that explains what I'd need:

Basically, I am looking for assistants to help my character put people on blind dates (some intentionally good, some intentionally bad). I'd like for other RPers who would like to play troublesome, meddlesome characters to join me in making some light hearted chaos take place on the server.
