New on here, but experienced role-player - Rad - 12-12-2013 Hello,  I have been playing this game for a while, but I am seriously lacking the Role play opportunities I am looking for. Therefore, I have chosen to reach out the the web for tips on where to go and what to do.  I have a lot of experience roleplaying since I have been doing it on and off for the last ten years. I would consider myself moderate leaning on the heavy side. I certainly like using lore and such, but I don't mind bending the rules to play out a fun story. My main is a level 47 summoner on Gilgamesh. His name is R'adehn Tia. I have a short background story for him, but I would really like a group of people to role-play with and develop his story further.  Please let me know if you have any suggestions or advice! Gilgamesh's hotspots tend to be in Limsa Lominsa, at the Bismarck and Wench, and prime times vary.  I'm on EST, and generally find the most people to be around in the evening, although there is still quite the daytime crowd. There's also two events coming up for the server - a Christmas Ball and Tavern Night - which are on the calender.  The latter is where I went to break into the community in-game, and I've made some lasting friends from that. Hopefully I see you around and can grab you sometime for RP!  Feel free to toss me a tell or friend invite in game. I'm terribly sorry I dismissed you from my group pretty much as soon as you joined, your Bravery was really low, and Faith not high enough to make you a caster. (And if you haven't played FFTactics that likely sounded like an insult.. >_< Rad is the first generic character you get in your group as a note.) Eva makes a point of providing sources and different view points on many of the more common areas. Hopefully you find something useful there! Since you mentioned having a character on Gilgamesh and an alt on Balmung i'd like to provide a few links to different communities. http://ffxiv-roleplayers.com/showthread.php?tid=3116 The "Coalition" Is an OOC Roleplayer hub, where people of all sorts can talk and colaborate, great way to get to know the community, maybe find out where some events are happening and the like. If I recall correctly they also have a skype shared channel like Balmung, but you'd have to speak with Rock to know more (or maybe some one can chime in below me.) Both in an effort to get solid group of people who are willing to teach or try something hard, and a way to promote the community coming together out of character. Nothing makes you friends quite as fast as finally killing the feathered trollop Garuda. I hope this gives you an idea of what might be out there for you to see, Gilgamesh and Balmung both have a lot to offer, and if you take a look at the Calendar I believe some events are approaching that might interest you.
