Fiery Vengeance [Character backstory, OOC Welcomed] - Kailia - 12-26-2013 It all began when he was twelve. He'd been out exploring the volcano near his home in Abalatia's Spine. There were many volcano's but this one was his personal playground. It wasn't active of course but it did have the comforting warmth his kind so enjoyed. Today, he was to learn to wield the Axe, a skill his family practiced for many generations. And his parents and brother would be waiting at the top for him. Upon arriving though, he beheld a scene that would haunt him to this very day. His elder brother was arguing with their father and mother. Something trivial no doubt, when suddenly his brother pulled out his axe to their father's shock and beheaded their mother who was trying to calm the two down. His father pulled his axe, but it was too late. His brother was on him in a matter of seconds, chopping into his father's chest repeatedly. Towering Flame quickly hid within a crevice, before he could be spotted, and his brother turned and left the scene. Once he was gone Towering Flame stepped out and weeped over the bodies of his parents. That is until his uncle came, and saw the horrors and gathered Towering Flame up, along with the aetheryte axe his father used to use and took him away from the scene, to question him on what happened. Once the boy was calmed, he told of what he had saw, and the entire village scoured the entire countryside, but his brother was nowhere to be found. The coward had fled. Towering Flame though began his axe training under his uncle's teachings. But the damage to the boys mind was already done. The boy was filled with a lot of anger. Two years later that anger would result in him going berserk and slaying both friend and foe during training. Master Vicious Star quickly pinned the boy and took him away from his uncle. He began learning new techniques that would help calm his raging spirit, for in the span of two years, Towering Flame became a rarity amongst their people. He had become a berserker. That training though had a setback though two years later, when the Calamity began, and the fires of Bahamut rained down upon them. But luckily Towering Flame and Master Vicious Star survived, and he was able to continue his mental training for another three years before Master Vicious Star declared he was safe to be within the city and town limits once more. Then came the day, two years after his training was complete, a traveler spoke of seeing a Hellsguard Roegadyn boarding a ship to Limsa Lominsa, that matched the description of his brother. Towering Flame bid his farewells to his friends and family and even Master Vicious Star, and set out, with his father's axe, to dispense justice to his long hated brother. But even arriving his Limsa Lominsa, there was no sign of his brother to be found anywhere. The trail had gone cold. But Towering Flame vowed to avenge his parents. It is only a matter of time before his brother is found.
