Newspaper - LandStander - 04-11-2014
So I am thinking of starting up an RP newspaper to keep everyone up to date on the happenings of the world. Nothing like private journals that document so and so going on a long walk, but stuff like "an explosion was heard outside of camp drybone this evening. Investigators are still looking for the source.". But I want it to be about plots that the FC's are in (I'll be filtering some of these out myself). Things about The Stars and Stripes Free Company beating back a small beastman force that was forming out in the Sagolii Desert and stuff like that.Â
Now I know we have the Tonberry Lantern but I feel like no one reads that... I just wanted to know how the community felt about this idea, and if you do like it, would you mind messaging me some stories to write about? We could even have IC interviews for some stuff as well.

You could... write more for the Lantern?
To be frank, the Lantern would probably get more people reading it if it were more active. If someone were to take on the role of an intrepid reporter, writing stories about happenings among FCs and posting them to the Lantern, I have a feeling that would get some visibility and get more people reading it, but that's just my thought.

I'd say get multiple people to work for the Lantern, if you can. Say one person per major city/RPing locale per server?
I'd volunteer but my character's not in a position where he has enough flexibility or free time to dedicate to something like journalism.

Get the lantern up and running again! I'll happily write for it. Armi would make a pretty good writer actually since she already writes songs.. hmmmmm

Hahaha, that is what I am going to use. I made a character a few months back that I never got fully off the ground. She was my Shantotto rip off. I was really happy when they had the Shantotto event because now I have a doll to go with her! I think I may try the lantern thing and then post here with links to it..because honestly I click on that thing like once every 2 months or so..
