The Blue Moon Clinic is now open! - Neiva - 05-14-2014 (( Not sure if this is the right place to post this, or not... But here goes! )) Sitting on Plot 18 of The Goblet ward number 3 is the brand new Blue Moon Clinic. The land on which the clinic sits is the home of the former book and magic shop known as the Gilded Wing (Ran by my alt). When it was discovered that the book store doubled as a criminal enterprise, the Brass Blades were forced to shut it down. After the land was seized and the investigation concluded, the structure was put up for auction. Members of the alchemist's guild managed to get it for a fair price, and began to renovate it as a satellite clinic so that they might help treat patients outside of the Ul'dahn walls. Neiva Maimhov was assigned to look see to the clinic's success. About the owner: Neiva is a very whimsical and eccentric young Miqo'te. She is rather resourceful and creative, but she suffers from something that most closely resembles Aspergers syndrome (Very mild autism) to anything in the real world. Her condition allows her to focus entirely on a goal or thought process, but this leaves little brainpower for anything else. You might assume her to ignorant if you've had any interactions with her, but her mind is really just fully consumed with her work. Even when she's out and about, socializing, her mind is almost exclusively trying to solve whatever issue she is facing in her field of study. It's hard for her to remember names, so she tends to assign people nicknames based off of whatever physical characteristics she can observe of them. She also has a hard time pronouncing difficult words, but often doesn't notice this fault herself. She is naive, very easily distracted from things she doesn't deem as important, highly energetic and very charismatic. In addition to alchemy, Neiva also fishes excessively, practices conjuration and mends/makes clothing and armor. Once upon a time, she aspired to be a squire. She wanted to be famous, but she was never strong enough to make a name on her own... So she intended to become really gifted at supporting others, so that she may ride on the coattails to some tough-as-nails adventurer's fame. It didn't work out after several hilariously disastrous endeavors, and she has since began to focus on her alchemy. She still fishes a lot, using whatever coin she makes to fund her obsessive need to buy new outfits on a daily basis. About the clinic: The Blue Moon Clinic focuses primarily on more conventional means of healing. Since it is sponsored by the alchemist's guild, most of the treatment received will be through medicine and salves fused or created with the power of crystal shards. The clinic doesn't exclusively believe in treating the wounded or ill with alchemy, however. The use of magical means is permitted, and will be utilized when it's believed to be the best course of action; the first goal is always to save lives. Though its primary role is to serve those in need of medical attention, the clinic also sells a number of potions, salves and medications. If you need something special made, the alchemists on staff can surely whip it up for you. The first floor of the clinic serves as the emergency treatment area. There is a waiting room outside, and a receptionist's desk at the front to answer any questions. You can also buy wares, there. The basement houses a very cozy lobby for friends, family and staff treating the long-term patients. Off to the side of the lobby is the recovery room, where patients who must remain bedridden can rest. It is made to be as comfortable as possible for the patients and anybody who might be visiting them. The other side of the basement is Neiva Maimhov's living quarters. Because she runs the clinic and acts as the chief consult on alchemy-based treatments, she is required to live there. Most of her day is spent seeing to the success of the clinic. Current Status: The Blue Moon Clinic is currently hiring! If you are an accomplished alchemist or magic-based healer, please seek out Neiva Maimhov for an interview. Currently, the clinic is looking for two healers to add to its roster, two nurses to care for recovering patients and a receptionist to work the front desk.
