I'm pretty sure I've got how the bidding works, but I was also under the impression you were taking donations as well say if someone didnt want to bid, is that a 'front-gate entry fee' kind of thing like the first bid is?

The date has been fine for me for a while now. I don't know if it's the fact the site hasn't been loading properly since the upgrade despite deleting all my cookies for the site and refreshing the browser while on the pages. However, that's about to change now...

A Few Last Minute Announcements:

Time change-

First of all the time has been changed now to 4:30pm EST, 9:30pm GMT. I'm sorry for the sudden change and inconvenience but it really can't be avoided ><

Participants must arrive 15 minutes early to receive instructions.

Co-hostesses-

Last minute once again, but the co-hostesses will now be Eternal Darkness and Rynn Limley. Eternal Darkness will be greeting you at the stage gates, taking donations, handing out carnations, and introducing the winning bidders to the volunteers.

Rynn Limley will now be taking bids and as such has made changes to the bidding process. She has more fortitude then I apparently Laugh

Bidding Changes:

The bids will now be handled more like a real auction. Each volunteer will start at 10k, and continue upward until bidding has ceased. Everyone must send ONE bid per round by sending a /tell to Rynn Limley. For RP purposes you can indicate a bid by /wave or other appropriate emote.

Aaaah~ Poor Mihana was only worth 80K! I'm guessing it could have been because you can't really see who's up on the stage half the time. For future references I think descriptions of the character's appearance should be included in their introduction on-stage. One guy was looking for a fiery-haired Miqo'te which Mihana is, but missed out probably because she was invisible to most people.

The event was great fun, with many laughs! Poor Amalthea is broke now though, spending her life savings on a single date (although worth every coin). I hope to see more events like this in the future, which hopefully SE will allow more players on screen by then.

Thank you to everyone who volunteered their time, gave up their gil, and embarrassed themselves for a pretend worthy cause! A lot of behind the scenes work when into this and I appreciate everyone's efforts. I'm hoping everyone enjoyed themselves and some fun role play came out of the experience. We also learned just how many people could be in the zone before everyone became invisible.
