Seems to only be effecting random people. 2 of my friends are down as well, one in PA and the other Northern Florida, meanwhile my neighbor 3 doors down is still connected.

Sadly there are lots of reports of it and Sony have said they're looking into it.

Outside the U.S. is reporting problems as well, Japan, the UK etc

I feel sorry for Sony. They don't need more negative publicity in light of recent events. If the technical issues are due to hackers once again then I can't begin to describe how much I loathe those responsible.
I don't get the point of deliberately ruining a business and the fun of the consumers related to that business. Hopefully they'll be severely punished by the law.
