well here's this again Eorzea's lowest rent Jam space has opened its 'doors?' 'outhouses?' to general public ... presumably because they hope some guest will bring booze or change the litterbox. Come witness the dubious debut of 'Marcy and the Cats.' See Rommie burn down the stage again. Watch Beile do some weird skinkish ritual music (which may or may not include self circumcision...bets will be taken by Renaux Mercier). Bring fish, quaaludes, tear gas (you know...lalafells) and spare underwear (pre-cut tail holes preferably).

Often this event is voted 'least convenient time slot' or at least it would likely be if there had been such a vote rather than me just making it up. But Wednesday seems the spot on the calendar that doesn't conflict so much with events that take a great more effort and planning than this one. The cliffs is just a place where bards and careers go to beat each other with ugly sticks. Since it is coming up though, I may as well bump this little jam session. Some new rules: it takes an aggregate /RNG roll of 1200 to catch a stage diving roegadyn (not directly saying Magma Dancer has put on weight : ) but rather to reflect the exact nature of her aerodynamics) and while it only takes a roll of 34 to catch Savo, it takes a roll of better than 900 to do so without ending up with fleas. fair?

I think this is a lovely idea. There are a few events that come up featuring musicians, bards, minstrels and the like. I think attending those would get your character in contact with a great many like minded players (and their characters). Or, find Nathan Telluride, he pretty much knows everybody in Eorzea who's picked up a bow or clawed a string. About Violins: Throughout the sixteenth century the anatomy of bowed instruments were being experimented with. It is conceivable that the size and tuning of a violin existed quite early historically. The codification of our traditional symphonic instruments came later when large musical arrangements became popular, but the instruments themselves had been developed much earlier. Also: Savo plays a 10-string Viol.

I usually start, "so this dame walks in..." but I can't do that this time. I can't tell if it's a dame or not first off. Its got them cat ears and a tail so I'm going with Miqo but the specifics elude me. The smell hits me like a liver spasm and I beforehand didn't even know a liver could spasm, but I figure it's deeper than a stomach turn. You know that moment, when you first saw a picture of some poor schlep who'd been laying under a bog for an odd millennium or two; not so much rotted, but all desiccated, twisted and leathery? And you think to yourself, "wonder what that would smell like?" I think I gots an idea: like this cat. It sits down and behind this mop of white dreds I can see her face...I decide its a 'her.' The kit's not all there in the chest see, flat, like the heart-rate of her hairdresser. But she's got that sly girl's face with them big yellow cat eyes, but them Keeper ones, you know, like a normal cat plus LSD. So there I am: in thinly veiled revulsion and she tells me about her case. The shit that comes out of this kit's mouth...you ever heard profanity in past pluperfect tense? Up till then, neither had I. I mean it's clear this cat gots smarts, but the kind of smarts that makes you want to empty your revolver into your own leg so that you can steer the conversation into something a little less taboo....
