Laughing Armaments President Assassinated!
Garlemald - President and Chief Executive Goenfal Lohengrin of Laughing Armaments was brutally murdered within the confines of his own office, despite the numerous security divisions the company employs within it's regional headquarters. At the time of this writing it is believed that the President of the weapons corporation was shot pointblank in the head.Â
At present the assassin is believed to have acted independently, however authorities suspect Eorzean rival competitors to have been behind the attack. The assassin is still at large, well armed and versed in his or her craft. Citizens are advised to report any and all information related to the attack to the local authorities. Rewards are pending for those whom provide sufficient guidance leading to the capture or death of the offending party.
He is survived by his adopted Miqo'te son, Char Lohengrin, who will soon take the reigns of the company as it's new President. Char has vowed to continue his father's work in the research and development of Magitek weapons and armor for the use of the common man without regard to what flag they may claim, much to the disapproval of many within the Empire. He is planned to deliver a demonstration within the coming weeks as he finalizes his transition and attends to his father's mortuary affairs. Though unconfirmed, it's likely Char Lohengrin will deliver his presentation directly from the heart of Ul'dah in defiance of the suspected Eorzean aggressors.Â
