So, Zesiro and I got to talking the other day as I streamed Mario 64 (Horribly. Oh god it was so horrible, you don't even know. Gospel can confirm.) and decided it'd be fun to do a race through the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Now, I enjoy the game. A lot. It was a great game, definitely one of my favorites. However, I am no master.

Zesiro, on the other hand, is supposedly a self proclaimed OOT master. So, tomorrow afternoon we will be streaming our little competition. It probably won't be anything exciting. Just us screwing around as we try to race through the game as quickly as possible.

If you want to watch us (I.E me) fail horribly, we'll be updating this thread some time around 2:00-3:00 CST with the streams and probably mention something in the skype chat.

Won't be anything super exciting I'm sure, but figured we'd invite the community here.

Okay. Time to get this started.

Some friends and I did something like this back on Halloween '09 with the original (which I never realized could be pwned so quickly). We had five TV's and a laptop/emulator in the living room of the apartment where I was living at the time and we all started at the same time. Our friend Chaz won in like an hour and then went on to finish the second play-through in just a little more time than that.

Then we all drank a lot and watched all three (at the time) Pirates of the Carribbean movies. I don't remember the third one so well. Laugh

I've only watched Ocarina played once, but it looks like a fun game and this sounds like a fun undertaking~ I'll keep an eye on the thread but I'll be working for awhile yet when you guys start.

The Great Zelda Off 2013 has concluded with myself as the victor! After nearly 9 hours of playing Zelda the contest was decided! Thank you to everyone who watched and I hope that it was an enjoyable experience! And a very special thanks to Merri for being such a good sport the whole time.
