I've been RP'ing for a long time (EQ Ruins of Kunark for a time reference) and I have always RP'd characters that are rather outgoing or who could actually hold a conversation with new people. Â
Enter Kieran.
While not exactly anti-social, going up to someone he doesn't know to hold a conversation just isn't going to happen. Â Nodding is about all you'll get out of him on the first meeting in a social setting. Â Now as you'll expect, not many people want to RP after that (which I completely understand). Â Kieran is a very complex character and will warm up to people in a social setting but it takes time and getting to know the person...or rum, lots and lots of rum. Â Which is how he has made the few friends/acquaintances he currently has. Â Once he actually knows someone he is a rather enjoyable person to be around and acts fairly normal. Â
So my question out to the masses is, how do you get a character like this involved in the RP scene? Â
I have thought about double boxing and RP'ing my own wing man, but I'm not too keen on having to RP with myself to this extent. Â Have RP'd my own villains, long long siblings, etc. in the past, but the 'wing wo/man' position would be someone Kieran has gotten close to.
