I spend some time thinking about Final Fantasy in general.. and then how it might work out as a MMO. Sure, i fully missed the first Online-FF and all that, but there are some things that made me giggle while imagining, just because how they would turn out in a bigger scale Final Fantasy. So I ask you, share your crazy ideas.
As for me... Lets see, what do I see comming..

A huge cactuar raid-boss somewhere endgame that one-shots the tank with a million needles!

King Tonberry that has to be tanked by a healer so Curse of the Fallen does not one-shot everyone!

MORE Tonberrys! ... Honestly, you just have to love these little critters.. *cuddles her plush tonberry*

Some famous jackass named Cid. ... Oh come on, there has to be one.

There will be a Cid, there was one in FFXI too in Bastok. We had a cactuar boss but he wasn't huge, he did use thousand needles though which hurt like a bitch and back in the day basically 1 shot you. Tonberries had a mechanic where the game would track how many you killed and then they would use "Everyone's Grudge" on you and do damage + more for how many ever tonberries you slew. You could reset it by visiting a NPC but it cost money.

I wonder if they will be putting in a lot of mechanized units like in FFXI or stick with more physical type baddies. One of the things im looking forward to are the holiday events, FFXI had amazing events going on for it with really cool items to be won and found.

I would like to see a mission that involves a full scale battle between all beastmen and a lot of players and npcs.

Hehe. While i'de personally like to see a Shantotto-like character in FFXIV, I doubt we will. But I do sense some very mischievous Lalafell's somewhere. I think it's just only a matter of time.

Hopefully we'll see pirate attacks again while riding ferries between townships. Possibly even a bit more frequently. That would be a lot of fun, given my character's position as a deckhand-for-hire. Ooh! Ooh! Maybe even massive naval battles for some of the Limsa-lominsa missions! That would be even more awesome!

I hope to see more secret areas, like the ones they had in FFXI. Those rooms with the apparatuses in them were one of my favorite things in game.
