Thank you for taking the time to read my introduction. I'm Euphina, it's a pleasure to meet you!Â
--MMORPG background
Played FFXI for a year. It was my very first MMO, went to the first annual VanaFest in 2006 (Moogle Rod Powah!). From there I jumped around, ended up on WoW for two years, took a two year break around Wrath. Returned just before Cata, and left a little after the pandas took over.
--RP experience
Started when my MMORPG career began back in FFXI. Ah, those were the good- eh... those were the learning years. I was only too lucky to be in a legitimate, hardcore RP linkshell at the time who set a good example for this young whipper snapper. Played Donella on Leviathan with the Lost Boys.
I did a lot of AIM RP for awhile but didn't do any of that in game until I returned to Cataclysm in WoW. Went to Moon Guard and found out that I really love leading events and politicking.
First with the Night Elf community, then with the Stormwind side of things. More than once I was one of the main leaders of events with 200+ players. I ran an army, co-founded an adventurer's guild, sat in war councils, ran three month long campaigns, was involved in the Silver Hand Council, organized RPPvP events, helped run server-wide RP plots...
*sigh* Can you tell I miss it? But I can't return; there's just not enough time anymore to do what I used to do. That, and the Pandas kind of turned me off. WoW's gotten ridiculous.
And now I just sound full of myself. >.>
--Character ideas/info
I am so conflicted on what I want to play. I've only just begun.
Thus far I'm playing Sholala Shola, a Plainsfolk Lalafell. I'm having such a difficult time creating her personality. I want her to be tough, but not compensating-for-her-small-size tough, yet still lovable without gaining hugs every time a female character sees her. How does one make a middle ground character without being mediocre? How does one play a Lalafell correctly without being pegged as a stereotype? This is going to take some research...
I'm also playing around with a black-haired Highlander that feels like a cross between a younger Xena and an older Korra. The kind of strong, quiet woman that fiercely protects women and children the way a man would with a dark, mysterious past that she's trying to make up for in kindness and good deeds. She'll need a "lovely item" eventually to help soften her up. Ouran reference anyone?Â
However, I might need to restart her. Una Darkstar is just not cutting it as a name.
--How did you learn about the coalition?
I've actually known about the coalition for years when my old FFXI LS was looking to move into FFXIV. I was around when RPC was first built, but seeing as the launch of the game was horrible and I didn't have a computer at the time to run FFXIV I went back to WoW.
--What kind of a role-player are you aiming to be? Light, medium, or heavy?
Medium to heavy. I'm still learning the mechanics so I'll be medium for a little while.
--Anything from real life you'€™re comfortable with sharing? (Work, school, hobbies, etc)
I can say it's thanks to MMOs that I have had the chance to travel and live coast to coast in the US.
I am a born again Christian after ten long years of bitter atheism. I am happy to speak with anyone that wants to talk about Jesus Christ; either to glory in Him or if you have any questions.
I look forward to RPing with you on Balmung!
