Excellent! Then I can most definitely participate in this event and will be prompt so I don't hold things up! As for the questions, I can go either way on healing magic really, I mean the game makes it heal wounds instantly but personally I think it's a bit more fun and dramatic if it doesn't fix things all the way just partially. Injuries are also something I'm ok with, major and minor so long as they aren't crippling like S'imba said. Though that can be flexible if we talk about it beforehand. ^^

After speaking to a few individuals involved in my story this would be a good alternative to some of the consequences that their characters would be involved with. So if you want to use my character let me know. Sure! We'd love to have you along ^^ And don't worry about the injuries, I'd never suggest anything that causes permanent damage or even a scar that cannot be prevented through curing magic(no matter how ill-refined it may be). Our previous experiences involved waiting days on end(repeatedly) for a single person to tag just to keep the scene moving, please don't interpret it as though we'd be very impatient haha. I'm sure if anything you'll be waiting on me more than anything. As for the magic, I am happy to hear that. I understand people like playing it differently but that is my preference too. It adds to the 'danger' of things and keeps everything more realistic in my eyes, particularly so when you see NPCs tending to people outside of battle. The in-game way is just a necessary game mechanic to me, eheh. And like I said to S'imba, don't worry too much about the injury aspect. I'd never ask anyone to subject themselves to an injury that results in permanent consequences(even if only a scar). I just wanted to know everyones' boundaries in advance *nods* Since we have three(?) people I guess we can close off the recruitment for abductees(if that is a word) then, assuming Rurtani is still interested! May I also ask if any of your characters are capable of fighting? It's not necessary of course but if so then I'd like to know since I'd want to avoid the possibility of my character(the only person who is searching with any experience... so far anyways) being the one taking everything head on, haha. He's decent but no warrior of light ^^ ; Characters: Andre Winter (Hy'ur) / K'nahli Yohko (Miqo'te) |

If you still need assistance for the rescuers, I would be willing to join in.
If the kidnappers are Ixal or Slavers, my character would practically help without hesitation. However, she also knows -of- Rurutani and Siha. She has never talked to Siha, but knows she is a friend of Roen, and knows Ruru is a friend of Kage. Small world If she knows who the abductees are, she would definitely want to help. Kiht Jakkya lives in Gridania/Twelveswood. She is a skilled scout, hunter and Lancer. Despite all those qualifications, I do not play her to be over-powered. She is no Dragoon, she is just a Lancer. She has moderate archery skills too, but I can leave that out if it is too much. I'll just say she left her bow at home. She certainly can fight, but has her weaknesses. I am not afraid to allow her to get injured. She can get beat to heck if that is what happens. I agree 100% with Siha about healing magic. Should not be instant or absolute. If I start the thread with all you, I will not back out of it until it is time for me to. If everyone does essay-like posts, and I need to do that to keep up then I can guarantee a single post per day. If posts are a few decent-sized paragraphs, I can post multiple times a day. If all that sounds good to you K'nahli, count me in. |

My character is highly skilled in hand to hand combat, though he doesn't have a whole lot of experience at dealing with magic. Â In fact even the white magics make him nervous.

I think it'd be great to have you along. Honestly I feel a little embarrassed having read your post because I think I may have given the impression that I sounded like: "You need to qualify in all of these respects! Adhere to my wishes because I know best!" That all sounds too perfect to me in any case though so I am very glad (^^)Â (05-21-2014, 09:16 AM)S Wrote: My character is highly skilled in hand to hand combat, though he doesn't have a whole lot of experience at dealing with magic. Though if I may ask, how would you treat let's say... a group situation where multiple people were to move in on your character alone? Would be be able to handle it with confidence or would he likely be overwhelmed? Please don't be shy to meet your character's true skill levels of course; I'd just like to be clear on it so that I can determine how many "bad guys" are necessary to pose a threat to our individual experiences. I have no problem with strong characters but if my character is facing a real challenge against one or even two opponents then I don't want to set you up with the same scenario should it prove easy in comparison. In my case, my character is young and doesn't have a whole lot of field experience so its only natural that he isn't oddly exceptional. Characters: Andre Winter (Hy'ur) / K'nahli Yohko (Miqo'te) |

Siha has some basic fighting skills when it comes to melee but she really excels in anything to do with magic, even coming off as being pretty formidable though she's never really attempted or been given her full justification. She's versed in both offensive and defensive/healing magic so wherever she's needed I can pretty much put her! Physically she'd have no problem being overpowered by a couple of baddies with the appropriate bindings on hand, and she's been wandering the Shroud as it is so I'm good to go on that.

If you're looking for more rescuers in the forum RP, my character is always up for saving damsels in distress. Will this begin from Gridania, given that you're considering using Ixal as kidnappers?

This looks pretty interesting! I'd love for Avalt to be able to help in the rescue! Just...don't stand in the way of his thunder spells

So if he were faced with multiple opponents he could hold his own to an extent. Despite his youth he is a competent fighter. As he would have finally escaped Thanalan he would be unwilling to surrender so he would either need to be incapacitated by magic and taken prisoner, be forced to surrender if someone else's life were threatened, or just overpowered because they have the intent to kidnap him. Under ideal circumstances he could take n quite a few opponents but more than likely he would be exhausted from running so he wouldn't be able to fight anywhere near as effectively. Honestly it would just come down to what he was up against. Edit* I was wondering when you were thinking of doing this just to give me a heads up for if you need me. Wikis       Â
