So, I got a quest to go to Fallgourd Float and when I got there, OH MY GOD was there a ton of people. Is this some big RP spot or *shudders* another Goldshire? Does Final Fantasy even have a "goldshire" cause I really, REALLY hope it doesn't

Second Coil of Bahamut is located there. It'll be populated until the next set of Coils. Then it will be abandoned.
Again. Closest you have to Goldshire is the Quicksand, and that's just because of how conveniently placed the city is, though it's not nearly as bad. |

I heard a rumor about how steering clear of some cave in the upper Limsa Lominsa area that is REALLY popular for ERP on Gilgamesh. Like Goldshire in WOW, sometimes these things tend to be consistent from server to server but more than likely vary in "intensity". I have also heard rumors about people using PF for ERP groups. However I don't really know of any single place that matches in infamy with Goldshire. Which is great for people like me who like to RP outside of the towns.

I used to hang around Fallgourd Float looking for RP, because that's where Aya's last posting was for her FC. It was pretty quiet, really, almost empty, except for people that came out just to see me.
I am sure once Coil moves on that it will be the sleepy little wilderness location that it seems intended to be, once more. It really is lovely though |

Talking about Goldshire keeps Goldshire alive. Very few people use it as a serious form of entertainment. It lives on solely on novelty, infamy, and people who don't actually RP.
Fortunately, Goldshire is unique to WoW. Although there will always be sprinkles of ERP no matter where you RP. Let's just forget Goldshire exists... |
