I'm new to the server and looking for a heavy based rp FC that's recruiting with active members. I'm on all the time and also at night so I'm wanting one that has people on all the time and uses mumble or vent if possible. My characters name is Snow Shadowfist send me an in game moogle mail or message me here if you're interested in recruiting me Big Grin

Greetings and salutations to ye, lad!

A wee little birdie told me that ye be seeking a Role Playing Free Company. While there are many to choose from on Gilgamesh, I thought I might ask ye a few questions to see if ye'd be interested in The Echo Knights.

But first, it would be proper to give ourselves a little introduction.

ICly, the Echo Knights are a group of mercenaries that accept all types, provided they don't mind working for coin and are worth their salt in strength or wit. We're a group of misfits and meddlers; a motley crew composed of scoundrels, heroes, and the occasional psychopath or two.

Additionally, everyone picks their own contracts in regards to IC. This is what allows us to have such a mixture of heroic do-gooders, greedy scoundrels, and murderous maniacs.

For example.

Fancy rescuing a cat from a tree or saving some poor fool's heirloom? - By all means, Heroic Harry.
Don't feel like performing certain illegal activities in exchange for massive amounts of coin? - Arin the Avaricious will take it.
Can't stand the thought of carving a path of destruction through a town to convince the residents to leave? - Cid the Psychopath will take it.

OOCly, the Echo Knights are both a Role Playing Free Company and Linkshell on Gilgamesh. While we mainly focus on Role Playing, we don't discriminate against PvE nor against PvP. Afterall, people will be wanting gear from certain dungeons for RP-purposes or vanity reasons.

We're a sociable and helpful bunch, seeking to both expand our repertoire of events and storyarcs, and the increase the frequency therein. Hm.. Mayhaps it'd be better to direct you to our Linkshell Page. It's far more eloquent and explanatory than I could be on these matters!

Now, for some pertinent questions to see if ye would be interested in our group.

Would you and your character be comfortable in a "mercenary" setting? As in, those that perform deeds of daring-do in return for monetary recompense? (Be it fighting Garlemald, playing escort to important clientele, or rescuing Mr. Jenkins' cat from a tree for the umpteenth time.)

Would you and your character be comfortable in a group composed of all types? (Heroes, Psychos, Scoundrels, etc.)

Would you be comfortable with a variety of events, such as Chocobo Races and large RP gatherings?

...In fact, that might be a fine idea. Rather than going in slightly blind from my explanation alone, why not see what we're like in-person?

We're having a Tavern Night event on Saturday, the details of which you can find -here-.

Given your character is a Level 1 Pugilist, and thus in Ul'dah, the location of the event might be an issue. It's taking place at Camp Bronze Lake in Upper La Noscea.

Provided the timing of the event allows you to attend, I propose the following:

If you so desire, we can invite you to the Free Company long enough to attune you to the Camp Bronze Lake Aetheryte. (Mind you, with an armed escort. We'll make certain ye don't die en route to Bronze Lake.)

By doing so, you would be able to attend the event without having to be Level 15 and beyond the "Ambassador" Main Scenario section. Alternatively, the event does not take place until tomorrow night. Ye may well be able to access Limsa Lominsa before then!

Licia Kline runs Envision of Night (EoN) and they are a bunch of cool people soon to be coalitioned with Arcanum (once we get a massive storyline out of the way).

Arcanum is a treasure hunting FC that deals with the occult. (I'm not super fond of pimping my FC out in this way so I will just throw you a link.Â

Ty for the wonderful response guys. Sadly I'm not much into mercenary rp but I do rp it sometimes. love the offers.

As for the second response I actually applied for EoN last night I saw their thing and they looked awesome. Atm I'm lacking a keyboard since I play on ps3. So for now I just want to join a FC get settled in get to know everyone Big Grin

I'm afraid I'm a tad long-winded, and generally lack tact, but in any case - I'm glad ye were able to find a group, and you're always welcome to RP with members of the Echo Knights!
