Dear diary[scratched
Dear journal[scrached]
[unidentified messy scratching]
Well then I'll be keeping a journal[scratch]
I'll be writing my daily memories here, I heard adventurers used this method to store their epic stories.
..maybe I'll get to write my own, someday.
so, I finally arrived to the city, It's been a tiresome trip...went longer than I expected..probably because the carriage that I took from Drybone kept avoiding roads rumored to be raiders' favourites, so we ended up taking a lot of turns and "shortcuts".
When I finally entered the gates, I was dumbfounded by how crowded the city is, I believe I stood there like a fool, my mouth open in awe for hours...I didn't know where to go!, how to start looking for leads, or where...where would i spend the night?...funny how these questions didn't spring into my head before storming to the city.
A man called wymond directed me to The Quicksands, the city tavern, said to be the best place for collecting information, so I did, and sat down on one of the tables, trying to act invisible, not ideal for asking around, I know...there were a lot of adventurers, laughing, drinking, and I believe some of them were fighting, this tavern is bigger than the one in Drybone, much bigger, which made me too nervous to talk to anyone.
I finally built up the courage to talk to someone, a girl who introduced herself as Raikemi and a Lalafel...who I don't quite remember her name...I think she never introduced herself...or maybe it's just my memory.
We talked a bit then I told Raikemi why I came to the city, she offered her help, she said it's what she does, i felt lucky, I never thought that I would find help at the first day...the benefits of being more social i guess.., later a man in armor called Rufus, came to the table, he said he heard our talk..and wanted to help, Raikemi didn't like the idea, well..thats what i saw anyway...
they later started bickering with each other, which was amusing to watch! she started calling him "knight in not so shining armor", I thought they really suited each other...loudly...Raikemi didn't react as Rufus did...who started shifting in his place, I think he was Embarrassed...ah well, here I am again filling this page with my unnatural observations...knowing myself..that will happen a lot.
After Rufus excused himself, a Miqo'te came to talk to Raikemi...she said he looks like a pineapple...or a chocobo...probably because of his hair color,..she then settled with "chocobo pineapple"...does that actually exist?...if so, i really want to see one!.
I excused myself later..I had to go rest before going to find a way to earn Gil..or else I'll be sleeping on the streets at a time..since I only had whatever the father gave me. Which is not so much to live in a city like Ul'dah.
we agreed on asking around for clues, and meet again in the Quicksand, then booked a room at the Innwhich made finding a job even more urgent.
...now that i think about it....I am a fool...
oh well ...and here I am writing on my new adventures journal, in my Inn room...
for some reason..Ifeel good about my decision of leaving, despite everyone's warnings...
I hope the feeling is accurate...
