It looks like your video card needs upgraded. Other than that, the processor and RAM will easily be able to handle the load.

Yeah the card itself isn't great, but I mean... my computer has handled everything at max display without a hitch unto now. I can run games like Dead Space or Bioshock 2 but not FFXIV ? Sad

Yeah alpha testers are included in all future tests as well. It's interesting that they have suddenly and without any question from the press dropped the Alpha 2 phase they had talked about in previous interviews..

Hey it may function just fine. Get the game or borrow from a friend and then see how it runs on your system.
But think of this... the game has to run on the PS3. So is the PS3 made of:
Graphics: Geforce 7900GT w/ 256 RAM
RAM: 256MB XDR DRAM
Processor: 3.2Ghz utilizing 6 cores for 204GFLOPS! (PCs only get roughly 30-50GFLOPS from low grade to high).

A new video card and processor could buy 2 PS3's, no doubt. I'll likely wait a little while and get the game for PS3 and fold in, buy the system. It's only like 300 dollars now, right?

I popped my case open and found that the heat damage on my heatsink around the CPU was so bad... So I rebuilt the computer a little bit.

My monitor doesn't support the Hi-Res size, so I ran it on low rez and I got 2971. Which is so stupid. God, they really need to cut the windowed mode out.

I think we might just have solved the "child with horns" question. That young boy sure looks like he has horns to me and there was a slioute of something else that looked horned to me also in the vid. Perhaps there is a horned race that will act as story NPC?

I have the feeling the "child with horns" is most likely one of the Seedseers from Gridania.
