Blood & Sand
Thanalan, an arid expanse that stretches far and wide to the reaches of sprawling deserts, and barren mountains. The savanna has become a home for flora and fauna, adapted to the harsh environment. Some succumb to it, while others find refuge among the oases that dot the landscape.
Yet, the largest oasis of all -- of silk and gold, walls and towers high, and glittering dome to rival the sun -- Ul’dah, is refuge not to beasts, but the greed of civilization. Peoples, rich and poor dwell inside the walls, squeezing the dust for all its worth, pinching every piece of gil and lining their purse. Be it from coloring the coliseum red in their own blood, or profiting from commerce. The rich rise, and the poor crawl. Influence is bought, and wealth the criteria. Be judged on the balance of Nald’thal, and hope for prosperity, or perish.

But those fat on greed fail to realize that the walls do not keep them as safe as they think. For beasts of a different kind lurk the streets. Those who have learned to guise themselves among the gluttonous citizens. The silks feel nice, and the clink of Gil music to their jack-knife ears. These jackals feed on avarice, and gain their own. To cull is to survive, and there is no shortage that need to be brought to heel. To prosper is to make others perish; be it their coin, reputation, sundries, or life. Careful the judgment of Nald’thal, for you might find yourself staring into a Jackal’s maw.
What Are the Laughing Jackals?
The Laughing Jackals are a Ul'dah-based mercenary group ran by a man named Kodran. Â Started years ago, a recent problem within the company has forced him to began to look for new jackals to join the pack... Â Questions about the older members are best left to silence. Â
The Jackals will do any job, their only true goal is to follow where the gil flows... If that means dealing with unsavory work... so be it.  Morally ambiguous they follow no creed nor do they worry about which side of the law they fall upon.
The only true rule they follow is; Loyalty to the Pack.

 As a mercenary FC we are provided the chance for several types of rp. Be it a simple guard job to the darker work people are too afraid to do themselves.  Price is right, we'll do it.

This is a big one.  We are here to have fun and Kodran and I take any complaint of OOC issues seriously.  We want this to be a fun environment where people can enjoy themselves.Â
