EQUINOX (the front company) : Providing affordable medical care, food, safe refuge, public health services, an extensive library, botanical gardens, an animal menagerie, and museum for educational purposes. All who come through the doors are welcome, no matter their race or background. The main floor hosts a laboratory-themed bar and lounge called Chemistry, specializing in mixology and molecular gastronomy. (( The company will be providing entertainment, advanced tattooing, and cosmetic enhancement through screenshot edits, commissioned art, and role play. )) Under the hood: Beyond its squeaky-clean facade, «NOX» owns a surplus of rare and exotic goods obtained through company-run expeditions and close ties to underground syndicates, smugglers, pirates, and drug + weapon cartels. Not all scientific endeavours can be pursued within the strict confines of a moral compass, and easy money is needed to remain two steps ahead of the competition. Medical breakthroughs and cutting-edge technology require fast access to a wide variety of items from all over the realm, and there’s no quicker way of obtaining these goods than by breaking a few (or a few hundred) import laws. (( We are currently in the process of planning out a large public event (ICly a secret one) in Limsa or Ul’dah for adventurers seeking rare items, contraband, relics, advanced weaponry, handy gadgetry, illegal imports, unique potions, augmented beasts, monster parts, and more. We have a few artists on board to help with flyers, illustrations and a list of what we’ll have in stock. Since making an impression at the Sea Breeze Bazaar a few weeks back, we wish to officially introduce ourselves to the Balmung RP community as a neutral hub for knowledge and trade. Should we be short on staff, I’m also willing to pay RPers to help out, stand guard, or work as sales representatives. Over the next few weeks, our staff will be gauging interest and a date/time to schedule the event. Depending on its success, we can turn this into a bi-monthly or seasonal event, and we’re not opposed to teaming up with other companies who share similar interests. )) * There will be no entrance or participation fees. All IC purchases will remain IC, and no actual gil will need to be exchanged.
