I'm a medium to heavy roleplayer, but as a general rule I try to match my partner.
- Views on RP combat and injuries:
Combat, sparring, and battling is totally fine, as long as we both control our own characters and understand the usual rules. I'm open to more permanent injuries and even character death if you want to go down that route, but understand that those scenarios would exist only within the context of the RP and not affect my character in the game in any way.
- Views on IC romance:
Romance and relationships are always fun. But I'd prefer if it develops organically, over some period of time. Crushes and romantic interest are fine too. If you're looking for more sexual, quick stuff, well hey, my character's a prostitute. So we can have that conversation.
- Views on non-romantic RP (family ties, etc):
I assume most RP will be this, but I could be wrong. Going on adventures and exploring the world is part of the game, and I do want to play the game at the end of the day. But if you have a creative idea, then sure, we can run with it and see where it takes us.
- Views on lore:
I look up stuff that I don't understand or remember, but I suspect that a lot of the lore is adapted by the players. I've written my character in a way that explains why he's named Hathaway, and why he's mostly unfamiliar with Miqo'te customs. Doesn't mean he can't learn or isn't interested, but I'm less concerned about his past, and more concerned about his future.
- Views on chat functions (/say, /linkshell, etc):
I'm not part of a linkshell, but I assume it's just an expanded chat room. If I'm not doing something right, let me know! Communication is super important.
