Been away from the rp scene for a while and hoping to get back. Looking for others who want to rp and stuff. I'm in Balmung and here is a little bio of my character:
Opal never knew her parents personally, and grew up in an orphanage in Kugane. The only thing left to her from her parents is a photograph of her mother. She was very close to both the children and the adults in the orphanage, often helping the adults take care of the other children as well. However she was scouted by an idealistic man at the age of  10 due to her abnormally strong connection with aether.
She was trained to control this connection and manipulate aether efficiently enough to take down targets that would threaten her foster father. While she was able to cast strong spells for her age, she was also able to manipulate the aether enough around her to give the illusion of having brute strength, despite her small frame. Being seen as nothing more than a tool diminished her loving optimistic attitude over time. Her foster father had everything planned out for her until he passed away so she could be capable of running his business.
When she turned 17 she was confident in her own abilities and left her foster father, rejecting his ideals and what his business stood for. She left for Eorzea and while she would have made an excellent mercenary, she thought the work was too long and the pay wasn’t enough. Instead she turned to swindling, using her cute appearance and two faced attitude to get men to do her bidding, sending most of her income to the orphanage.
