I. Basic Info
- Primary character: Oujou Shahyadva
- Linkshells: Lalashell, LFRP
- Primary RP linkshell: LFRP
- Amount of RP (light, medium, heavy):
Heavy - No matter where I might be in game I'm always willing to react in character when compelled.
- Views on RP combat and injuries:
I'd rather PvP ingame than participate in RP combat, though I have been known to spectate and bet on the outcome of the RP combat of others.
- Views on IC romance:
IC romance is fine so long as everyone remembers to roll for initiative before each phase and no one ignores saving throws or THAC0.
- Views on non-romantic RP (family ties, etc):
I don't think this really provides any insight insofar as what kind of RP style I might employ, therefore I'm skipping it. Dunesfolk are just as familial as Plainsfolk despite them attributing prices in gil upon their kin.
- Views on lore:
I'm okay with deviations from lore so long as they're plausible and/or entertaining. After all, there are plenty of cases within the game where exceptions are made for the sake of such(Example: Adding Male Miquo'te after the lore explicitly said no female Roegydan, etc.)
- Views on potatoes in RP:
Now I have mixed feelings about potatoes in RP because most aren't native to Eorzea and fewer are prepared properly still. I'm of the opinion that boiled or baked for the right amount of time they do have some nutritional value but otherwise pose difficult to eat. The other half of this is that early on in my adventures I came across a potato, which I picked up and used an identify scroll upon. As it turns out, this potato was in fact, Pjolnir, potato of legend. Despite my best efforts to rid myself of such a potato no matter how many times I've thrown it away its always managed to reappear nearby and at this point I'm at a loss as far as how to proceed.
- Views on Miquo'te:
When I come across Miquo'te role players who don't nyaa or entertain feline notions such as fishing or investing in Ul'dahn savings bonds I can't help but feel they're doing a disservice to their fellows. Â Cat eared Hyurs, I'll call them. Â Honestly, if you're going to act like a Hyur, roll a Hyur. Â My countenance crumples when they fail to hiss at insurance salesmen.
- Views on Hyur:
They make excellent swordsells(especially Highlanders!) and can be far more agreeable than Roegydan during such. Â More importantly, their love of adventure ensures they usually have plenty of coin to part with. Â It's highly recommended to befriend Hyurs at every opportunity. Â Also, their lifespans aren't very long, so in the event you get tired of one, just wait a few decades.
- Views on Roegydan:
Though they do not get as much mileage as a chocobo, they're primarily a luxury vehicle for parading around in town upon and have far better offensive capability. Â It's a bit of trade off though as they've been known to eat far more than Hyurs and don't particularly care for Gysahl Greens. Â They excel in defense as well in that there's no better race to stand behind during an onslaught of incoming projectiles. Â Female Roegydan in particular make for excellent conversationalists.
- Views on the Garlean Empire:
While their methods are a bit admirable I can't help but feel that they could run a tighter ship. Their lack of red and black maid outfits must also be doing irrevocable damage to company morale as well. Furthermore they've missed several investment opportunities with their current infostructure, as they've opened no casinos or hotels near their military bases. I can't help but feel sympathetic to their cause and if they're in fact still hiring I may in fact submit a resume at my earliest convenience.
- Views on Plainsfolk:
One land,
Ruled by Lalafell,
Cultivated by Plainsfolk,
And owned by Dunesfolk.
That's essentially where they'd fit in the grand scheme of things.
- OOC Info:
I generally RP whimsically and favor the role of entertainer or comic relief(the satirical type, mind you). Â I can and have pulled off engaging, serious RP and can invest time into storylines. Â I'd say of the types I've engaged in I most excel at impromptu RP.
Aside from that I've also been known to perform as extras for other's events, even going so far as to create entire characters on short notice for the sake of such.
If you do have a compelling idea for an RP, do run it by me. Â Even if I can't participate I can point out some ways you could get the most out of it. Â Working on characters is also a personal hobby of mine.
