Nashu Relanah layed into her bed of the inn. She'd just had a long day training with her father and was beat. And it was not long before the dream began...
She found herself in an outcropping in the Black Shroud. The moon shined upon her, and looking at it, she see's a shape forming... a large creature with wings... it was the dragon that visits her every dream.
But this was no ordinary dragon either. Its scales were white as the moon, eyes were golden. The creature landed before Nashu and looked down upon her.
"Hello again Blessed one of Menphina.", it said in a very feminine voice.
Nashu looked upon it, "My mother and father say you are bad. Why do you haunt me so?"
The dragon smiled, "Because you are blessed by Menphina. You and I are destined to become one."
And with that, the dream began shifting... showing her, her past... Starting seven years ago... she see's herself, a littler kit than she is now, learning from her sister to use a spear.
"From the moment you first started learning that skill, we were destined." spoke the dragon.
Nashu frowned, "But all my family learned to use the spear. None of them were destined!"
The scene then shifted... two years ago, to the grisly scene of the Ixal storming over her families home, slaughtering her mother, sisters, even her father. Of the thirteen year old Nashu, dropping her spear and running away into the shroud.
Nashu covered her eyes, "Stop! I don't want to see this!"
The dragon moved her hands away from her eyes, "And it was this day, that I knew was right to approach you in your dreams. You want revenge. You want to slaughter the Ixal. I can make that happen Blessed one."
Nashu shut her eyes shaking her head, "No! Mother says revenge is bad! Father says if I get your eye you'd destroy me!"
The scene fades and again she is back in the outcropping in front of the dragon, "You will become one with me. We will go forth and destroy all Ixal. We will destroy even Garuda, their primal."
And that was when Nashu sat up in bed, fully awake and breathing hard. She now knew... her mother and father were right. The dragon does seek to absorb her. But how to end the dream? She will have to ask her father when next he is awake.
