Greetings all! Long-time RPer here, used to make a home on the Gilgamesh server. I took a long break, and just recently got back into the game, and due to a screwy system, I have to start all over again! That being said, I'm trying to drag 4-5 friends to ARR with me, all avid RPers. However, it's nearly impossible for us to coordinate enough to all get into Balmung or Gilgamesh for the very small time frames they open up in the wee hours of the morning. Thus, we have all placed ourselves on the Faerie, Aether server, and I was wondering; Does RP on this server exist? I would like to start up a Free Company for RPers here, but if it would be a waste of time, then I'd much prefer to wait and get all of us onto the RP servers. Any advice would be helpful, and if you don't feel like reading this wall of text, then...

TL;DR, Should I bother seeking for the RP on the Faerie server? Or spend time and try to coordinate all of my friends to get onto Balmung or Gilgamesh?

There is no RP on the Faerie server, absolutely none. I tried making a linkshell for RP during my time there and I only managed to gather 4 people and sadly that ended up in failure due to drama. The server itself it extremely casual in terms of what they do, so it's unlikely that you'll find people RPing. Another thing to add is that the prices there are ridiculously high. Seriously I'm talking 7k each for red coral and the i95 weapons borderline 10mil.

I've had very bad experiences with the Faerie server as well which doesn't help.

My advice is that if you want to have a small group of roleplayers and just a small one, then go Faerie. If you want to get involved with others outside of that group however, you might want to go to Gilga or Balmung. Personally I've found so much that I really missed out on Balmung so I would say there.

I only joined the Faerie server cause there's absolutely no one on the Mateus server. Â I'm trying to move my characters to the Balmung/Gilgamesh servers, but it's pretty crazy. Â Character transfer is the only option viable. Â But I'm also trying to get some group interaction on Siren if character transfers don't work out.

I moved to Faerie over a year ago, as I was informed of a somewhat role-play FC there. That ended in a bust. So far there are some lore focused individuals, but not much in the way of RP. Â Also the general population is very hostile to viewing cutscenes and anything lore oriented, even to the point where some of the more hard core end game FCs encourage members to skip cutscenes even when doing the solo main story parts. Â I witnessed someone shouting in Mor Dhona that she had a party in party finder for those who didn't mind watching the cutscenes in Paetrorium, and was bombarded with toxic comments regarding that. I feel kinda trapped there, due to funds being too low to transfer all my characters. So yea unless you can make a small close nit FC and find a few others who are into RP there you might look at moving when it is available.
