Hello, i'm still fairly new to rping in-game and would like to know, Where are some places most rpers gather? I know Ul'dah adventurers guild is one as well as Gridania.

People sometimes RP at the Drowning Wench (Adventurer's Guild in Limsa Lominsa) or at Buscarron's Druthers out in the Shroud. Some folks also RP in the tavern in Ishgard once you make it to Heavensward. Not sure if they still do, but people used to role-play out in the Coffer & Coffin in Thanalan. Aside from that, I don't think there are many places you'll regularly find open RP, so I'd just recommend keeping an eye on the RP events advertised here on the RPC. Smile

I've come across roleplay happening quite randomly, quite regularly. I'll be questing around or something, and then suddenly... A Wild Roleplay Appears!

If you come across some people who seem to be IC (or whose FC tag includes "RP" in it, which is a dead giveaway that they're roleplayers at-a-glance), and you aren't sure if a wander-up would be welcomed by their players, just shoot them a tell and ask. I've had some pretty fun RP happen on-the-fly like that.

While it certainly isn't limited to such locations, I will second the camps/taverns suggestion, based on my own brief experience. Just about every region I've spent a decent amount of time in since switching to Balmung has been this way.

There's RP all over the place out in the world especially the cities. If you're looking for a natural experience of just running into people and walking in on a conversation it shouldn't be too hard. Also posting on the site is always good as well. Always keep your options open.

As said, taverns are a good starting point. I'll confirm that RP is seen in the Coffer & Coffin by Black Brush Station now and then but I won't try and say it's bustling.

My biggest piece of advice for finding RP in the open world is to keep an eye open while doing any gameplay that brings you around the map (Main Scenario or grinding or whatnot) while being willing to separate from that gameplay easily. I've met a couple of people by poking them while the main story had me in X settlement. While there may not be many constantly RP heavy areas for open RP, there are a lot of RPers on Balmung that are walk up friendly spread throughout the map, so take advantage of that as you explore.

I mostly see it happening in taverns (though almost never the one in Gridania, for some reason), but I also often see people RPing in random places out in the world. In those cases, its almost always on a bridge for some reason. Ul'dah is the most frequented that I've seen.
