Hello everyone!

I am trying to see if there is some interest in an idea I had. That idea being a bi-monthly Free Company Champion Tournament, hosted by us lovely people at The Gilded Rose. The thing I want to do in a sense is bring a lot of Free Companies together for a friendly, but prize winning, fight tournament. Any Free Company participating would choose their champion, or in our case we had our own in company tournament to decide, and enter him/her into the tournament as their representative. The catch behind this is there would be an entry fee. That is the other part of this post. If companies are interested what suggestions for a entry fee do you have? The idea behind this as well is to help get fund for our own house once plots open up.(And we are getting close to having enough) The entry fee for the fight would net the winning player/company 10-20% of the fee, possibly more depending on how much is gained/donated.

I wanted to gather interest and suggestions before posting it up as an event and not getting anything.

So please, Leave your suggestions for an entry fee, fight location, anything.

Probably easiest to work backwards. Small homes/construction/plot totals just under 5,000,000 gil if I remember correct. If you get a ten entrants and they all pony up 125k, you're totaling 1.25m every two months before paying out a final prize. Paying 20% leaves you with a cool million gil every two months. Without any internal money-raising you've got a house in a year.

There's a couple of obvious challenges with this, but it's an interesting thought.

That aside, my Free Company, the Wild Lotus Host Club, would be willing to participate! I'm sure I could generate an interest within my group, considering we all had fun at the Golden Sands fighting event before.

As far as an event location goes, I always thought it would be fun to have a tournament in Coerthas right about here:

I don't have an FC, but there's any help that you need (outreach, organization, brainstorming, H Y P E Â M A N), I'd be more than willing to help people get houses.

@K'heyo, I like that location, would make it more interesting then going to the more popular places.

@Oli! we were thinking of letting people without FC's join but with maybe limitations on how many, and with a lower entry fee of course. All for having more help. I like the idea of a Hype Man too xD I think each champion should bring a Chaucer as our little joke goes. Haha

Bring in the Chaucers! I want to see Heralds who give long beautiful speeches about how awesome their champion is! I want it soo much it cannot be contained!
