Anyone ever play Megaman Powered UP or Megaman Maverick Hunter X on PSP? They were PSP remakes of Megaman 1 and Megaman X1 respectively. They were.... uh.... ok I guess? I liked Megaman Powered Up a lot more than I liked Megaman Maverick Hunter X because I don't really like how slow the game feels with 3D graphics in a side scrolling perspective.

Opposite feeling here. I couldn't get over the art style and presentation for Powered UP but I adored MHX for being an updated MMX. I will admit the 2.5d looked a bit strange but I got over it. Plus, Vile.

I played 1, 2, and 3. After that, they started running out of ideas, the bosses got stupid, and I lost interest.

Legends doesn't hold up. If you didn't play them and hold them high in your memory, they're nearly unplayable now.

Well that can be true. I have a few friends who never played and just picked them up on ps4 and love it. So I think they're for anyone.

Huh, must be me then. I've tried repeatedly to get into Legends 2 but it just doesn't stick. I get hung up on the pop-in and controls and awkward camera and just can't deal with it.

I'd have to say, I did pick up Legends 1 on PS3 and intend to download it on Vita too. Legends 2 is all we need now.

I'd have to say, I did pick up Legends 1 on PS3 and intend to download it on Vita too. Legends 2 is all we need now.

They're pretty clunky, but I liked the characters and shortcomings aside, it was a pretty good effort to make a Zelda style Megaman. With the shooting focus, a lot of special weapons and platforming worked, if rough around the edges. The games were good and are still good, just not the second coming or whatever.

Why people feel so strongly about the series is more to do with disapproval of how mishandled the cancellation was. I think few people actually feel Legends is a truly representative title in the series, or the best thing ever. They were just niche, fun titles in the series that demanded more sequels to finish the story arc at least, and then Capcom was a butt about it...
