Waterstrike Heir Missing and Presume Kidnapped
Word came into this reporter as she interview a Twin Adder officer for another article, from Ul'dah. The heir to the Waterstrike House, young Lord John Waterstrike, was missing. He was not answering his private Linkpearl and was last seen leaving the Grindstone by teleport.
Interviews around the area review that young John arrive at the atherite before heading out the main gate of Gridania. This reporter, following the adder that was sent to investigate, was told at Bentbranch that the young miqo'te was seen passing by the gate, heading for the lake dock and the boat that would take him to Lavender Beds. It was while interviewing the people at Bentbranch that word came in about signs of a struggle.
Upon arriving at the site, several Adders and Conjurers were already on scene, and I could see the blood on the daggers that was collected along with the blood on the stone, as well as the rage left behind, the scent of a sleeping drug still on it. From the signs that this reporter has seen, it would appear that Master Waterstrike was taken by force.
Is this an action to ransom the heir for some of the Waterstrike fortune? Or as is believe, that Garleans may have been involved in the kidnapping, as a way to hold sway over a Royalist family. We can only hope that Master Waterstrike will be return safely back to Ul'dah and his family.
