I apologize if this is in the wrong spot. I don't know my way around this place very well.
I come here to ask for advice on how to transition well into FFXIV roleplaying I've been roleplaying for a couple years, but it was always entirely text based where I could play multiple characters and do whatever is necessary to advance the plot. Obviously, I can't do this in FFXIV.
I've been rping with someone for about a week and a half now, and I can tell it's going to be stale soon. What can I do to make sure things stay fun? I know there's only so many times we can walk around the lavender beds/go to the beach/spend a day at the gold saucer.
To top it off, it's hard to find people who RP on my server (I'm sure they're there, I just don't know where to look,) and I'm unfamiliar with any "unwritten rules" that FFXIV roleplaying may or may not have.
Seeking any and all advice on how to improve my roleplaying, and how to keep roleplay sessions fresh. Also maybe a more experienced roleplayer to take me under their wing, so I have someone to PM all my stupid questions too.
