Hi there. I'm Sunny. I recently picked up FFXIV on the advice of a friend. I'd been looking for a game with a strong social/roleplay community, and he recommended it. I've never played a Final Fantasy game before, but after looking into it and seeing all the positive buzz, I decided to jump in feet first. I picked up the game, the expansion, a 60 day time card, and a transfer to Balmung.

I'm making my way through the game now, just focusing on the story and learning the world, but as much as I'm enjoying myself, it's the people that make a game for me. I've been playing MMOs for almost 10 years, and a game isn't "home" until I have good people to play with.Â
I've been going through the Linkshell/FC Directory, but I'll admit it's a little intimidating. I can't tell who is actively recruiting, who would be new player-friendly, etc.
So I'm trying to go slow and hope that I stumble on the right folks. In the meantime, I'm putting myself out there.
I'm a 28 year old lab admin from Texas. I live with my wife and our five fur balls. I love RP, LARP, horror, comics, MMOs, dogs, and K-Pop. I'm looking for folks that are preferably older, LGBT-friendly (it should go without saying, but you'd be surprised. I'd rather not have to play the pronoun game in what is supposed to be my relaxing down time.), and will be patient if I mess up, either mechanically or lore. I love world-building and diving into lore, but it takes time. I don't expect anyone to be Google, just be understanding.Â
I play in the evenings and on the weekends and split my time primarily between FFXIV and TSW right now with a little SWTOR once a week with old friends and a few others (Aion, Rift, GW2) more sporadically.
