4.0 is upon us and with it we now have access to a wonderful city in the form of Kugane! As a port in an exotic location there are countless reasons as to why someone’s character may choose to visit. They may be an adventurer looking for work or thrills. Perhaps a bored, wealthy merchant seeking entertainment and foreign goods. Then, of course, there’s going to be people who choose to portray a character who resides there as a citizen.
I’ve spent some time walking around the city and seeking RP with various degrees of success. It’s obvious to me that Kugane is very well suited to it, though it’s also clear that a lot of the people seeking contacts in the region are rather scattered. With that in mind, I have decided to go ahead and create a Linkshell - aptly named ’Kugane RP’ in the hope that it will help encourage people to band together and get some interesting plots going!
As far as rules go, they’re fairly simple. The primary function of the Linkshell is to encourage role-play. Discussion of the game as a whole is permitted too! Many of us are, after all, here for the overall package rather than solely for the sake of RP. I’d also appreciate it if people remained fairly polite. Things get heated at times, people disagree - it happens. Ultimately, though, I’d rather not see people drag drama into the chat channel. If there’s a problem try to work it out. If that doesn’t work, consider making use of the block function and/or nudging myself if the issue is a serious one. Or simply take some time to cool off and see if the problem resolves itself on its own.
Those who join are encouraged to identify like-minded role-players and raise awareness of role-play that may be going on within the city or the surrounding areas. Naturally not everybody is going to necessarily be a good fit for one another. Preferences and styles differ, after all - but despite that I’d like those who join to remain civil and agree to disagree regarding such things.
At any rate, I’ll stop rambling for now. If anybody has any questions then I will be happy to answer them. Feel free to spread awareness, too - and if you have a character that is likely to spend a decent amount of time in Kugane as either a resident or a guest then feel free to message me in-game on Balmung as Caesius Baelthar or Ryuji Akagane and I shall throw an invite your way.
