I still ahve my working 1.0 Security token tied to my account from the original launch, I know i'll have another once ARR comes out and I found myself tempted to grab the App too.

Does this mean that i should just keep the ARR token tucked away in a safe place ? Since I cant see having 2 or 3 security tokens and or app tied to my account being required or potentially cause problems?

I think you can only have one active device applied at any one time anyway. I'd hold on to it in case the older one starts to go or just move over to the app.

To my knowledge I think you can actually only have one security device tied to your account at a time, though I may be mistaken.

Ah, i wondered.
Ill certainly keep my ARR one tucked away in a safe place then.
Anyone used the Security App? I do think after ARR launches they should totally pretty up the App with lovely Eorzea imagery n such. Id likely switch to the app in a heartbeat if they did.

I use it. Visually it's nothing special, you just click a button and it gives you a code to enter in.

Not sure, i use an android phone myself and its in the app store. Not sure if theres an iPhone version myself.

With the cell phone (mobile) authenticator just make sure you write down your removal password. If your phone breaks or is stolen and you can't find your physical authenticator, without that password, it can be a bit of a nightmare to have the token removed from the account.
