Next Event time!

Note, the first large event will occur Next Saturday, Sept Thirteen.Â To many balls in the air and works better for more people's schedules.Â So there is that, yay!

In the Shadow's of Death's Wings as another Episodic Rp event, and, possibly, my last for awhile.Â RL obligations are increasing on me and these events are immensely fun, but also rather taxing.Â As such, I will be drawing on those interested to help move plot along more so than before.Â

This event will chronicle the "Cult of the True God" and their attempt to reanimate what they assume to be the mortal avatar of the god. Nald'Thal, which, is in fact, a dead dragon.

The Cult of the True God is a sect of fanatic Nald'thal worshipers lead by "The Voice."Â They believe that reawakening the dead dragon will bring about Nald'thal's final gift and return all life to Nald'Thal's domain.Â They operate as both a legitimate business venture, hiding behind various fronts, and an assassin organization.

These Assassins, these Crows, are reanimated dead gifted void powers and ordered to kill.Â The coin raised form these assassination funds the cults religious activities.

As normal there are two teams.Â The heroes and the Cultists.

Â At this time there are two primary investigations occurring concerning the Crows and the cult.Â Liadan Summerfield or Kage and Natalie Mcbeef's FC are both spearheading these.Â If you desire to get on the heroe side, speaking with them or sending me a pm is a great way to get rped into the plot! Big Grin

Â Also, PM Melkire,Â He's a Crow this time and loves to stab people.

As for the Cult side.Â We always needÂ npc cultists and npc zombies for event days if you just want to show up the day of the events and have some fun.Â If you are interested in being a Crow, shoot me a pm.Â There is a lot of back story we have developed on the Crows and need to fill you in.Â Big Grin

This event will occur in four parts.

"Pages of Madness."Â Part 1 will be next Saturday, the 13th, and will be the attempt to obtain a rare book the cult needs for the ritual.Â

"Virgin Blood" Part 2 will occur in Limsa.Â Five virgins, either pc or npcs will be scattered around about to be killed and it will be up to the heroes to save them.Â These sacrifices are to create Blood Stones needed for the ritual.

"Need a staff with that?"Â Part 3 will occur in Gridania, where the cult shall try to obtain a staff needed to act as a conduit to reanimate the dead Dragon.

Part 4 shall be based up onÂ which side wins two of the three above events.

If Cultist win 2, they event is "To Slay a Dragon" in which the heroes will fight both the Crows and a dragon.Â I have worked out how this fight will take place, though it is going to be a bit complicated and requires people have unlocked the leviathan fight.

If heroes win two of the three events, we go with "With Strange Eons even Death Shall Die."Â This event will be the heroes holding off waves of cultists, zombies, and Crows as they try to destroy any artifacts the have obtained and forever prevent the dragon from being reawakened.

Gonna name drop since I know I haven't been quite spearheading it but working on it :3

Iron Sea, <ULDAH>'s wonderful Roegadyn friend who also helped save Kage's hide, oh and Nat's too... well he's been the biggest spearheader of all! He's already had to kill one of them a couple of times! Find a way to meet him. If not, Kage knows most of, but not all, the details.

Pesky black mage and a book. Should just get rid of both. :>

Sounds like it's time to Â start a little footwork on this. Hopefully some of the people that have been around Rhaq when she's told about her brief encounter with one of the Crows find their way here. ^_^

I miiight have a job by next Saturday, so I'm not 100% sure, but even if I land it I should be free Saturday night.

Tangentially related, is there an LS for hero-gathering? I only know that there's an <ULDAH> FC, and I'd rather not leave the one I'm already in.

There's none so far and there is absolutely no requirement to join <ULDAH> for the event. :3

If needed I can make an LS called "Crow Hunters" when I login later today.

There is, in fact, a LS kept for the purposes of coordinating these events. There has always been such a linkshell. In the downtime between story arcs, it serves mostly as a channel for OoC andÂ PvE chatter, but its original purpose was and still is to serve as a facilitating tool.

Invitations to Tentative Allies go out as needed, when needed.

(As a matter of fact, you were both members during Askier's original story arc, Saga of the Wind-Swept Sands; I'm kind of surprised that you've both forgotten)

When was it ever a recruitment thread? Not once did I ever say join it and the only reason I dropped its name is because Askier said "Nat and Kage's FC" so I said it so there's an actual name attached.

There's never been an official announcement about that LS and I'd only ever been in it once, the first event as I assumed it was in fact a temporary one set up for said event and promptly left it right after the first event. Never even knew it was around for the second, so apologies.

I just need to getÂ Meta to encounter a crow, or have someone looking for Adventurers/Mercenaries to aid with the problem. Need to get on that. Still very excited for this whole event though.
