Hello all! I go by the name Noriana Mizuru, and while I've played since 1.0, I've never had the chance to join an RP server. While I've rp'd for many years, circumstances (friends) simply wanted to play on Cactuar. So, now that I'm free from such bindings (they quit!) I've thought about joining Balmung.

I've been on Cactuar since launch of 2.0 and I've been rather nervous about hopping into a new server and suddenly not knowing anyone. It feels like I can recognize most of the long time players on my server and that, plus other bonds I've made will be lost.Â

I guess what I'm getting at is.. is the RP community at Balmung still at large? Is it difficult to hop intoÂ Ul'dah and eventually find a great FC through IC interactions? I've been told amazing stories by a friend detailing the terrific community wide events that go on, and I'm hoping such energy still exists today!

I thank anyone for their time in reading this, and I do hope I can settle these doubts and finally hop the fence and play with you all, even if I'm a few years late to the party.

RP on Balmung is still going strong - and the calendar on the site can show you a bunch of the various events that are going on! And - especially in Ul'dah - you can find folks just standing around having IC conversations with one another, doubly so in the usual "RP hubs" like the Quicksand. So fear not! The RP continues! Thumbsup

OOOORRRR we can always unite the RPers who are stuck on Cactuar! Which is what i am about to start trying to do!

Thanks for the reply you two! I'm glad things are going strong, I believe I'll finally make that transfer. And about rp on Cactuar.. I've tried that in the past, and it just doesn't seem to work out. Most of the community is simply content based, though there are a handful of people that are in RP Linkshells!

Just the usual hint about transferring - you can transfer ANY number of characters from one server to another for those $18. So, if you have multiple RP character ideas, make them all on Cactuar first and them move them all in bulk. Save the headache and the wallet in the future. Thumbsup
