K'ile Twinflame approaches K'luuha after the meeting with the elders. His fire had been put away, and his bow now rides his back. The smell of smoke still clings to his body.
K'luha Haaz frowned severely as she examined the bottles of various medication. One in particular held her interest as she examined the clear bottle with a small crack. "Bastards." she hissed beneath her breath, glancing about the floor for something to mend the glass bottle.
K'ile Twinflame speaks without hesitation, but with a supplicating tone, "K'luha. Would you do me the favor of sparing my life long enough to have a word or two?"
K'luha Haaz turned her head back sharply to examine K'ile. She frowned for a moment before sighing. "Of course." she replied cooly, standing and turning to look at him.
K'ile Twinflame inclines his head before saying, "I don't always watch my tongue when I should. My words weren't meant to offend you or your daughter. It became obvious to me as K'ailia spoke that she didn't intend the offense I took. I stand by what I said, but I'm sorry for the conflict."
K'luha Haaz gave a warm smile and nodded. "It is alright. I apologize as well, for my behavior. It was unsightly. I should not have threatened you, reguardless of circumstances." K'luha paused for a moment before heaving a heavy sigh. "But truthfully, I do agree with you. I would truly loathe having to live off of an Ul'dahn's aid. I am beginning to fear that K'ailia has become too fond of the outsiders. If it was anyone but K'ailia suggesting it I would have backed you immediately." K'luha glanced shamefully to the ground and rubbed the back of her head with a free hand. "Still, my apologies. Was there something else K'ile?"
K'ile Twinflame deflates a bit, his demeanor losing its rigidity. "It's a pain, dealing with outsiders. They're so different. It's easy for the young to get confused. Maybe if we go together you'll ahve better luck! The elders want me to take you, K'ailia and K'haali to explore our options."
K'luha Haaz coughed awkwardly after a moment of thought and looked to K'ile. "I... would like to go ahead of time. If that was alright. I really wish to speak to that Ventus man concerncing K'ailia before anything else. But, otherwise I would love to have company." She smiled and nodded again, putting her hands on her hips. "Outsiders are not so much pains as they are pestilences." she added sourly.
K'ile Twinflame chuckles, but adds seriously, "I think I stepped in a bit of a personal matter between you two by questioning the motives of that Ventus fellow, didn't I? I'd like to meet the man myself, to be honest. I'd worry about you going alone, even if K'ailia trusts him."
K'luha Haaz smirked faintly and lifted an arm, showing off her muscular biceps. "Oh, don't worry about me K'ile. I'm stronger than I look." she chuckled cheerfuly before dropping her arms to her sides again. "But since I do know the road best, perhaps we should all travel together. I will request still, to meet with Ventus privately and firstly however."
K'ile Twinflame: If you run off and meet with him before I can stop you, I can't do anything about that. Just don't kill him without back up. The man's likely got supplicants if he's got gil. Like gems for a primal, gil is for Ul'dahns.
K'luha Haaz nodded in quick agreement, her tail swishing behind her in thought. "I wouldn't kill him anyway. We still need the trade from Ul'dah unforunately, and K'ailia values him too much for me to kill... yet."
K'ile Twinflame takes a few steps closer to K'luha, "By the way. While I was being offensive, did I manage to make sense? You agreed with me, but judging by K'ailia and K'rei I spoke nothing but insults."
K'luha Haaz waved a hand dismissively. "It was your attitude, honestly. You acted like you were a nunh or something. And K'ailia is so very defensive about it in the first place, to be totally shut down by you? She didn't like it. I only got mad because I could see you upset K'ailia." she sighed, lamenting her quick to anger nature. "But to me you made sense. I believe your unwavering stance was also perhaps offputting, which was why they argued against it so firecely."
K'ile Twinflame looks thoughtful, putting the back of his hand to his jaw and rubbing the hair on his chin. "To be honest it's K'yohko that bothers me. The man's far too many daughters to be open to settling with outsiders. He'd end up watching all his girls taken by men outside the tribe."
K'luha Haaz made a sour face again and looked away for a moment. "K'yohko is a... quiet man. He does not speak because he wishes to maintain balance between the tribe but... I do not think even he would let outsiders walk off with his daughters." she glanced back to K'ile again. "You could become a Nunh K'ile. Why don't you? The girls are all of age now. Although children now would be difficult to manage, perhaps in a few years you could serve as their support and father their children. I'm not saying have to but, I am curious why you don't seem interested."
K'ile Twinflame grabs his ear and makes a face of distaste. "You think? I feel like K'rei was trying to say... Well! I do enough for the tribe. I know we need someone, but... If only K'thalen has managed another son or two!"
K'luha Haaz laughs at you.
K'luha Haaz she smiled at him again and shook her head lightly. "If only, but alas it is not the case! I think you would make a fine Nunh, with a little tempering." K'luha smirked again, her tail curling around her waist. "But only if you want to. Alas, I am off topic. You and K'haali wish to travel with me, yes? Can you use the Aether to travel? I cannot remember."
K'ile Twinflame shook his head, "Don't know about her, but I'm afraid I'm stuck crawling in the sand with the rest of the worms." He puts a fist on his hip and remarks, "What do you mean, tempering? I'm about as well-tempered as I'm going to get!"
K'luha Haaz laughs at you.
K'luha Haaz she rubbed the back of her head lightly and grinned. "Well, I guess we better hope the sands temper you a little more!" she teased lightly before taking a more serious tone. She thought for a moment about his inability to use aether and nodded. "Right then. I will guide you to the Forgotten Springs. They have many travellers that go by there and from there we will get you on a straight ride to Ul'dah. I know some merchants who run trails up to Ul'dah from the Forgotten Springs. They will get you there faster than I. From the Forgotten Springs I will use the aetheryte to Ul'dah, and I will meet you there with some sort of time set up for us all to see Ventus's grounds and such."
K'ile Twinflame: And I'm guessing you'll be seeing Ventus alone while I'm traveling. Just make sure we don't ahve to stage a rescue first thing when we get there.
K'luha Haaz laughs at you.
K'luha Haaz: Promise, you won't need to.
K'ile Twinflame: Knowing K'ailia she's probably already back, isn't she? Wouldn't want to sleep in the desert like an actual tribesman.
K'luha Haaz frowned deeply, her eyes looking a little wet for a moment and threatening to water over into tears. She kept her mouth shut tightly about the matter though, but her ears flattened out again her head. The matter was clearly very distressing to her.
K'luha Haaz sees you and her eyes begin to well up.
K'ile Twinflame chocks, and then coughs, "Oh, dammit. I'm sorry! I won't... You know, I should know better. It's not like I've never had family run off on... Why don't we just pretend I shut up before saying that?"
K'luha Haaz sniffled lightly and quickly dried her eyes with the palm of her hand. "It's alright K'ile. It's not your fault my daughter grows further and further away. I should have never asked for her to study in Gridania..." K'luha sighed heavily and let her hand down to clench lightly at her chest. She gave him her best smile and tried to perk up a little. "You're going to need to start packing rations for the trip. We need to leave sooner than later after all."
K'ile Twinflame lifts his hands in surrender, "Okay, I get it. But y'know, you didn't do a thing wrong with raising her. The world's just like that sometimes." He spreads his arms, "You wanna beat me up a little bit? Let out a bit of that fire you got? Might cheer you up!"
K'luha Haaz smiled again and gave a playful punch at K'ile's chest. "There. How about we go for a hunt instead? Gotta make you useful after all."
K'ile Twinflame laughs, "If you want to temper me you'll have to punch harder than that! I'm gonna run off before you do, though. Have a good morning, K'luha."
You bid farewell to K'luha Haaz.
K'luha Haaz bids farewell to you.
K'luha Haaz: Good day K'ile.
K'ile Twinflame turns on his heals and heads back towards camp to trade his bow (which he doesn't even know how to use that well) for a spear.
K'luha Haaz turned back to the half cracked bottle of medicine on the floor. She scowled at it before chucking it as hard as she could against a rock and watched it shatter.
