Greetings Jin! and welcome to the RPC,

Great to see you've already signed up with a group, while i'm not very familiar with the Gridanian Surveyors I trust they've helped make you feel welcome and provided some insight into the game! You may have seen me running around on Quarimar, perhaps on the forums here, i've got some links to share with you. You've likely already come across this information in one form or another but hopefully this will help none the less.

This post is a welcome on behalf of the RPC to all new members, explaining a little history behind the site and providing some information on all the tools here you have to work with, from the wiki to the Lantern.

While you clearly have experience out there in the wide world of Roleplay (I've enjoyed a history of MMO, Table top and Forum myself.) this RP Handbook by the illustrious Eva covers along with many over arching topics, a few that are specific to FFXIV.

"Intermission" is a linkshell for Roleplayers from all across Balmung, all about getting people together to know each other OOC. Where people are, what they might be doing, whats planned for the night ect.

"Europa" is focused on the "non-NA" time zones, and perhaps will provide a more active community for you than some of the NA centered groups... though theres always a lot happening everywhere! just a thought Big Grin

I'd also like to take a moment to plug an event occurring this weekend. Not affiliated with any particular organization or group. the "Coffer and Coffin" Tavern night is all about getting people together from as many walks of life as possible. old, new, short and tall.

There's no obligation of gear, no fee required, no minimum duration of appearance. Poke your head in, chat a little, maybe grab a drink!
