Since yesterday, I've been thinking about it more and thought for those who play in windows mode to have like a scratch pad that always on top of the window. When you say more versatile textbox, I think of a glorified notepad that will allow you post past the regular chatbox's limit in game, and automatically break up your paragraph into the appropriate size so you can copy and paste. The chatbox in FFXIV is just... so unwieldy. It constantly scrolls even when you have settings set for things... you can't easily copy and paste what you have in it. An RP session that took an hour may take you like 5+ minutes to copy and paste because you.can't.scroll.while.copying.ugh.
