"If Lady Meli failed to hear about a get together she would truly be hurt. Or she might truly hurt someone. Dare say it can go either way."
"I am heartened that you enjoy the room. It has been empty for many moons so it being of use is as much of a help to me." Jancis continued in a wistful tone, her eyes soft on the highlander. "Has been paid through for the rest of the Turn, another couple moons, so it is yours if you so wish to stay longer. I mind not. But surely you must have new plans at this time? Or at least, you have something you suggest to eat here."
Franz simply leaned back in his chair a little, not nearly as rigid as he had started. I'm not actually very familiar with La Noscean dishes.
"It was partly the reason I decided to do such a thing. See what the local people would order." He glanced around a few of the tables, as if taking a mental note of what was "normal" cuisine.

Franz nodded a bit. He was well-aware of what extended research could do to someone. "I would imagine so. But then, isn't a break also nice? At least to let your eyes wander off a page?" There was a certain curiosity for the research as well. "But what is it that you are researching? Perhaps I could be of use some time."

He couldn't help but smirk at Otto just a little, the man certainly was consistent in his endeavors to make Franz take off his shirt.
"You mean this one isn't showing enough already?" The cloth shirt had already been fairly unbuttoned, exposing more of himself than he would normally allow. Rather than the heavier tabbard, the cloth fit loosely and didn't offer much protection. "Maybe after a few drinks you'll get your way." He held up his bare hands. "And look, no gloves either. But to answer the earlier questions, yes. While I care for a number of people in Ul'dah, it was never really quite a 'home', just a place I stayed. I've decided to stay in Limsa Lominsa for a while, at least until I can perhaps try to return to my home."
After responding to each person, he flagged down a nearby server and ordered an ale for himself, promptly drinking about half once it arrived.
