I don't know... I think it's more tragic to see couples that formed just a week ago marry right away. This is a decision that should take months to be taken, if not years. And people don't want to wait that long so.. either make an IC wedding and look like eager Hollywood couples, or do it OOC and get no IC reputation repercussions.
To be an interesting, intriguing, well-written character, there needs to be something to allow the audience to relate to them. That is what the problem is with who wants their character to be "perfect". Perfect characters will never be strong, and strong characters will never be perfect, because WE (those who read, who watch, who RP) are not perfect.
