I'm basically just restating, but here's a bit more detail on what the other's have already said. Â :>
For lower levels, if you can stay on top of it, using Transpose like that might help you either regain MP quicker, or do more fire damage. Â In higher levels, though, you'll get moves that give you a full stack of 3 Astral Fire or Umbral Ice regardless of what state you were in prior to the move, so it is like a built in (badass) Transpose. Â With those in mind, you won't necessarily need to use Transpose to swap over during a fight. Â
It depends on the time it takes for you to deplete your MP, and the recast time on Transpose. Â Since you wouldn't want to be stuck without it when your MP is gone, as that would result in a lot more time lost DPS wise, just gauge if using it multiple times works out for you.
I'd say try it out, and see how it goes. Â At lower levels, it's likely not as important, but also a good time for testing. Â Ultimately, I figure it depends on the situation, especially since the full stacks you'll get from a single spell (as opposed to just 1 of either given by transpose) result in faster cast time of the opposing element, so once you hit that level in BLM you'll switch up the rotation. Â At that point down the line you'll be using Blizard III when your MP is shot from all the fire spam to replenish, instead of transpose, most likely.
