- Name: Jariana "Jari" Rinjahl
- World: Balmung
- Character main class/job/role: Miqote-at-Arms (Paladin)
- Cards: The Star, Temperance, The Hermit
- Reason for Card choice:
- The Star: For the upright, Jari is sworn to the Twelve, bound by oath to their defense and to that of their people. She is surprisingly very much a peace with her faith (or at least the little niche she's carved out for herself there.) That peace gives her a sense of fulfillment and courage to move forward and rather selflessly serve where she can. For the case of the reverse, despite her belief in the Twelve, she does not believe her acts will truly have a lasting effect, and in the end she will die in her service. She is very much a pessimist when it comes to bringing about any lasting good, as it seems when one wrong is remedied hundreds more crop up to take its place.
- Temperance: The reverse of this is easier to start with. Jari loves to drink, can be quite divisive in her attitude at times, and very much enjoys the... ahem... "company" of others (paid and otherwise.) However, in the upright of this card, she strictly limits her drinking to never impair her judgement, is very selfless in her actions, and always treats and looks at her partners as actual beings, not something to be used and cast off. In the end she merges the hedonistic and temperate parts of herself.
- The Hermit: In the upright Jari is an introspective individual, her past having forced her to come to terms with her faith, something she still considers and studies regularly. In the reverse, while she's not a particularly private individual, she does not let others get particularly close. She refuses to have any relationships deeper than just friendship and almost forcibly bars anyone attempting to push any further than that.
