The image of real pain. Well, close to real pain. 1% would have been worse.

So close. Also found out that apparently T8 savage remains unclaimed on this server, so it would have been a server first. We're going to try to buckle down tonight, but oh man is this fight challenging as all hell. Makes T13 look like T1 in comparison. Hell, even T9 savage was a breeze compared to this. But, 6% after two nights progression is pretty solid. \o/
Ballistics and Allagan field from the very start. Everything hits harder. Three towers from the start, as well as a new type of tower mixed in that reduces max HP. No set locations, towers spawn randomly. Can't stack ballistic missles, so you need two separate groups to deal with each pair. Tower vulnerability is even more dangerous, so you need a set rotation of people to handle certain towers. Absolutely need two tanks, as the dreadnaught hits like a truck and cannot be tanked near Avatar, otherwise they buff each other by crazy amounts.
That's just the first 40% or so. Then the real fun starts. Double Allagan Field. Double homing missles. And to top it all off, not three towers, but four. All in entirely randomized locations. Oh yeah, there's also five land mines. So not only do you have to watch our for homing missles if you have field. You also have to watch out for mines, which have a massively increased explosion radius. One hit by a mine and it's a guaranteed wipe. One hit by a missle and if you aren't fully buffed, it's a wipe. People with fields also need to push towers at very precise times without much room for delay, so if buffs aren't near instantaneous, that's also a wipe.
Naturally you're still dealing with ballistic missles this entire time, which is also entirely stressful. If you don't position those correctly, you can also be bounced into towers and wipe the group, or bounced far away from a tower you need to push and wipe the group.
The main tank also has to precisely position the Avatar, as you need to be able to push certain towers in any random location, and if you get hit by the Avatar's cleave it's close to game over, even if you don't have field.
There's so much raid awareness and split second thinking in this fight, it's mind numbing. So much fun, though. I need dat title. I must be the Avatar.
