That's basically the gist of it. People play in different ways, and there isn't anything inherently "wrong" with not sticking precisely with aspects and traits tied to your race's lore. All I need (and I specify me, as this is personal opinion) is a potential explanation if I'm curious enough to press.

And I think the point that there's no need to constantly draw attention to "HEY, I HAVE CAT EARS" has been made enough times. Though, I wonder if Elezen and Lalafell ears are mobile in any shape or form. Twitch twitch.
