Erik stood dumbfounded, her reaction was.... unexpected. He sighed and spoke as deeply as he could without sounding unnatural, "I am not going to kill you. I have come to seek you out because of who you are. You are Spahro Llorn, a journalist, a name that has gained eyes from the powers that be due to your sensationalism." He stopped for a moment, looking down the nearby alley, watching the Brass Blade pass the other side, the rum in his belly cloaking the Miqo'te and Erik from his notice.
He then looked back at her now, being sure that only his chin and mouth were visible to her at any given time. "You have expressed a notion that the government, both sides leave something to be desired. You have come to my attention as a person of integrity, despite your more public reputation as a printer of some rag paper. I would test that notion." He looked away again, far behind her, the same Blade staggering by again, as oblivious as before. As he passed Erik continued, "What do you know of the power of the military in Thanalan? More then most I would wager, but still not all. I would put forth the hypothetical question, what would you say, or people as a whole if there was a special forces unit within the Immortal Flames? One with access to Imperial technology, a broad Standard Operating Policy, with little to no oversight outside of higher level Officers of the Flames and some government officials."
