For Christmas, one of my newer FC people (who sadly had to transfer back to his old server for raiding purposes shortly after Christmas) carefully found out what every one of the people he talked to on a regular basis wanted in game. I was given a Fat Cat, a friend of mine was given the Littlefoot, and another friend was given the Arachne Shirt of Striking, and yet another friend was gifted a Nutkin. He spent millions upon millions of gil just out of the blue on all of us.
And then he found out I'd been desperately trying to save up for the Shiva barding. Shortly before he transferred back, I found one in my mailboxÂ
 He was a really awesome dude; just a total joy to be around (for a lot more reasons than his spending habits).
