As Emeraude left her office, Lili let out a small breath before glancing back at the map and linkpearl the woman had passed over to her. Another job, and now the third potential business arrangement/endeavor by the third Ishgardian that could give them future access past the gates. She never imagined their sights would start to be set so high considering where they came from originally: a collection of those who left Blacktalon and it's lack of proper structure.

She felt smug. Every time she ever passed through the first ward of the Goblet she felt smug. The rare times she'd see Kolhi'to or Darturu in and around Ul'dah she'd feel smug. She knew she shouldn't because it wasn't a nice emotion to experience, but Lili had a bigger house and more active employees and dammit it felt good to know that she succeeded where others had told her she couldn't.
But she didn't make it this far alone, and she always reminded herself of that. How could she not? Those like Rock, Locke, Katiti...they were all there in the beginning.
Now all that was left was to move forward. Starting with helping her husband.
Reaching into her back pocket, she pulled out a familiar little blue crystalline vial and closed her eyes before pouring the contents down her throat.
